Alyssa B. Sheinmel: Hello, my is Alyssa Sheinmel. Sheinmel is actually Polish for pretty flower. Although, I'm told it is not the kind of flowers that grow, it's the kind of flour that millers make because my ancestors were millers. The "B" in my name stands for Bree, which I hated when I was a little kid because I didn't like that everyone introduced it as brie like the cheese. But I've come to love that name, and that's why I insisted on having the "B" on my book covers, that I'm Alyssa B. Sheinmel.
