Anne C. Bromley: Hello. My name is Anne C. Bromley and that's Anne with an E, and that's the Hebrew version of the name Anne. The C stands for Christine, which was my mother's name. The name Bromley, B-R-O-M-L-E-Y, dates from the ancient Anglo-Saxon culture of Great Britain. It is derived from the Old English word bromleigh, B-R-O-M-L-E-I-G-H, which means a clearing, where brambles are found. Now brambles are prickly shrubs or vines where most people might find blackberries or roses, so if you're not sure how to spell the first part of my last name, think of B, for blackberry, and R, O for rose.
