Wendy Phillips: Hello, my name is Wendy Phillips. Phillips is a Welsh name meaning lover of horses, but the Phillips side of my family actually came from Northern Ireland. They immigrated to the eastern townships of Quebec many generations ago and spread across Canada as the settlers moved west. Wendy is a more recent name. I was named after my cousin, who was called Big Wendy. I, of course, was Little Wendy. My cousin, who is also my godmother, still sends me birthday cards from Big Wendy even though we're both adults now and pretty much the same size.
