Richard Trout: Hello, my name is Richard Trout. Every time I tell my name to someone, I always have to say, "Richard Trout, like the fish." Trout is a name that comes from Normandy in Western French. Trout with one T at the end evolved to two Ts, and then some people add in an E. T-R-O-U-T-T-E. All the one-T Trouts in North America are related. The Trouts moved from Normandy to England, to Virginia, to Georgia, to Texas, and Oklahoma, so I can literally follow all the family with one T. It's a fitting name for me, since I'm a biologist and I study animals. One time on our family farm in Oklahoma, our neighbors were a Bass and a Minnow. So, we had three fish families living all there together.
