Gavin Bishop: Hello, my name is Gavin Bishop. I live in New Zealand. The name Gavin, is an old Scottish name, but I think it is probably found in lots of countries, throughout Europe, and I think there's even an Italian version as well. I can remember when my mother used to tell me that when I was born, she wanted to call me George, but she decided that Gavin was much more modern. I'm pleased to say though that I have grandson now, and he's called George, so George has been used, finally, in our family.
