Bonnie J. Doerr: Hello. My name is Bonnie J. Doerr. Doerr sounds just like the door you enter or exit.

The J stands for Jean. When I was a little girl, my family always ate bread from a nearby bakery. The bread was called Manbeck's Bonnie Bread. I never understood why I was named after a loaf of bread, especially when I looked nothing like the girl depicted on the bread wrapper. But happily, I learned I was really named after the song lyrics "I'll go home with Bonnie Jean." This is a catchy song from the famous musical Brigadoon. Guess that explains why I have always enjoyed Broadway musicals. I think being named after a song is much better than being named after a loaf of bread, don't you?
