Kekla Magoon: Hello, my name is Kekla Magoon. Kekla is a West African name from a language called Basaa. It means "sunrise" or "morning star". The language Basaa is spoken in Cameroon which is where my father is from. My parents named me Kekla because I was born in the very early morning when the sun was coming up. They thought "sunrise" or "morning star" was the perfect name for me.
