Dom Testa: Hello. My name is Dom Testa, which is not only a short version of my name, but actually is a shorter version of an already short version. When I was born, I was named after my dad who was named after one of his uncles and that legal name is Domenico with an E in the middle. Well, the shortened Americanized version of that is Dominic with an I in the middle replacing the E, and I went by Dominic until I got to high school where my friends felt that even Dominic was too much, so they began calling me Dom. I guess, I had impatient friends who couldn't abide a three syllable name and to really confuse things, I named my son Domenico as well and he too has now gone through all three versions. That means there are essentially six names for two people, and that is just a mess.
