Danette Haworth: Hi my name is Danette Haworth. It sounds like Janette but it starts with a D. When people realize that my name is spelled D-A-N, Danette, they always ask me, "Oh are you named after your father?" And I always say, "No, my dad's name is Larry." My mom has a lot of stories for how she came up with my name. The only story I believe is that she found it in this book called, The Book of Uncommon Names. Growing up I was the only Danette in my school and in my neighborhood and it wasn't until I was 13 that I ever met another girl named Danette. I have only met four other Danette's since then so I am really glad that my mom found that book at the library.
