Catherine Thimmesh: Hello. My name is Catherine Thimmesh. Usually, people mispronounce my last name by saying "Thy-mesh", but really it's pronounced "Tim," like the boy's name, and "ish," like icky. The "h" in Thimmesh is silent.
You wouldn't think my first name would be so difficult, but often I will introduce myself as Catherine, and the other person will say, "Nice to meet you, Cathy." Oh, well.
