Daniel James Brown: My name is Daniel James Brown. And that's a relatively cumbersome way of saying my name. I mean, to most people, I'm just Dan Brown in my ordinary life. But when I became a writer, I quickly realized that if people googled Dan Brown, they were going to get a million hits on The Da Vinci Code guy and not be able to find me. I should have probably taken the opportunity to come up with a clever pen name, but I didn't. So I just made my author name my full name, first, middle, and last name. So that's how I came to choose that as my author name.
