Matt de la Peña: Hello. My name is Matt de la Peña, which is a name that's often mispronounced sometimes by accident and sometimes on purpose.
In elementary school, people thought it was funny to call me Matt Jalapeno, and then in middle grade they stepped up their game and called me Matt de la Penis. In high school I was Matt de la Sol and teachers sometimes, the ones that didn't pronounce Spanish words very well, they called me Matt delaPena, and now all my friends call me DeLa. De la Peña actually means "of the rock."
